Accept Wormhole (W) payments
W is the token of Wormhole, a protocol that passes messages and tokens between blockchains. Holders use it to vote on Wormhole governance. It launched as a Solana token, and easyway accepts it there, next to SOL, USDT and USDC, on the same checkout and API. Below: which W counts, how a customer pays, and what holding a non-stable token means for you.
Token, network and limits
| Token | Network | Mint | Confirmations | Min. withdrawal | Withdrawal fee |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wormhole (W) | Solana · SPL | 85VBFQZC9TZkfaptBWjvUw7YbZjy52A6mjtPGjstQAmQ | 1 (finalized) | 53 W | 38 W (flat) |
This is the mint Solscan lists as "Wormhole Token (W)". W is a standard SPL token with 6 decimals and a supply of about 10 billion. Its mint authority is disabled, so no more can be created on Solana, and it has no freeze authority.
W on Solana only
Two things trip people up with W. First, W also exists as an ERC-20 on Ethereum, Base and Arbitrum, moved there with Wormhole's own token transfers. Those copies can't reach a Solana address, and they are not credited: a customer holding W on an EVM chain moves it to Solana first. Second, Wormhole has bridged many other assets to Solana as wrapped tokens (names ending in "(Wormhole)", such as Wrapped Ether). Those are different mints and are not W. A one-letter ticker is easy to copy, so the mint above is the only reliable check. W locked in governance staking has to be withdrawn to the wallet before it can be sent.
What paying looks like for the customer
The customer picks W, sees an amount and a fresh Solana address (with a QR code), and sends exactly that amount. In Phantom or Solflare that is W → Send → scan the QR code. The wallet needs a little SOL for the fee. If the invoice address has never held W, the wallet also creates its token account, which takes a small one-time SOL deposit. From an exchange account the exchange covers this, as long as the withdrawal network is Solana.
easyway reads the amount from the validator's own balance tables for the address's W token account, so a plain transfer, an exchange withdrawal or a swap that pays out to the invoice address are all credited the same way. A payment counts once its block is finalized (usually well under a minute) and a second, independent RPC provider returns the same amount. Transfers below 1 W are ignored, so dust spam can't touch an invoice. Larger ones to the same address add up. Short and late payments follow the underpaid and late payments guide.
Price risk and fees
W's price moves. For a USD invoice the W amount is locked from the exchange rate when the customer chooses the coin. After the payment, W is credited and withdrawn as W, so later price moves are yours. Pricing an invoice in W itself (currency = "W_SOL") skips the conversion entirely.
The platform fee is a flat 0.5% of each confirmed payment: 1,000 W paid leaves 995 W on your balance. The withdrawal fee and minimum above are fixed W amounts. They cover the Solana fee and the recipient's token-account deposit at listing time, so their dollar value follows W's price. To end up with dollars, also offer USDT on Solana or USDC and choose per invoice with allowed_assets. All coins are on the pricing page.
Integrating
Nothing is W-specific: create an invoice through the API (or a payment link without code), redirect to the hosted checkout, and fulfil on the signed invoice.paid webhook. The quickstart has runnable examples, and the sandbox guide shows how to try the flow without real funds.
Common questions
Is easyway part of Wormhole? No. easyway is an independent payment gateway that accepts the W token; it has no partnership with Wormhole, and payments do not go through Wormhole's bridge.
Who holds the W? easyway keeps it on your balance until you withdraw. Live withdrawals go only to addresses you have whitelisted with two-factor authentication; see security.
Which other Solana coins are accepted? SOL itself, USDT, USDC, Jupiter (JUP), Jito (JTO), Raydium (RAY), Pyth Network (PYTH), Render (RENDER), and Bonk and dogwifhat on the meme tokens page.
