Accept USDT on Solana (SPL)

USDT on Solana settles in seconds for a fraction of a cent in network fees, and it is what many Phantom and Solflare users already hold. Here is exactly how Solana USDT payments work with easyway.

How a Solana payment works here

Every invoice gets its own Solana address. Solana keys have no public-key derivation, so the signing service exports a list of public deposit addresses ahead of time and the API hands out the next unused one; an address is never reused for a second invoice and no private key ever sits on the server that runs your checkout. The hosted checkout shows the address and the exact amount as a QR code and as text.

The payment is credited once its transaction is finalized — usually a few seconds to a quarter of a minute. A partial payment is tracked as underpaid rather than lost; the API docs cover over- and underpayment in full.

How the payment is read

USDT on Solana lives in a token account that belongs to the invoice address. easyway watches that token account and takes the amount from the network's own before-and-after balance tables for each transaction, so a payment is read correctly however it was sent — a plain wallet transfer, an exchange batch, or a transfer inside a larger transaction. A second, independent RPC provider must report the same result before the deposit is passed on.

What the customer needs

Paying from their own wallet, the customer needs some SOL for the network fee. If the invoice address has never held USDT, the sending wallet also creates its token account as part of the transfer, which costs a small one-time SOL deposit; Phantom, Solflare and exchanges do this without asking. An exchange withdrawal on the "Solana / SPL" network needs nothing extra.

A Solana address looks nothing like an Ethereum 0x… address, so a transfer on the wrong network usually fails in the wallet before it is sent. The checkout still names the network next to the address; USDT on another chain is not credited to a Solana invoice.

The token mint

Deposits are only counted from Tether's USDT mint Es9vMFrzaCERmJfrF4H2FYD4KCoNkY11McCe8BenwNYB with 6 decimals. Check it yourself on Solscan. The API always returns human-readable amount strings, so you never deal with raw token units.

Integrating USDT payments on Solana

Create an invoice with currency: "USDT_SOL" (or let the customer choose from every enabled asset) and redirect to the hosted checkout, or build your own UI against the same API. A signed webhook fires when the invoice is paid. The quickstart and webhook guide have runnable code.

Common questions

Is my balance converted? No. A Solana USDT balance withdraws as Solana USDT to an address you have whitelisted. Nothing is swapped; easyway holds the balance until you withdraw it.

Can I accept USDC or SOL too? Yes — both are enabled on Solana with the same flow; see the fees by coin. Other cheap USDT networks: TRC-20, BEP-20 and TON.
