Accept Arbitrum (ARB) payments
ARB is the governance token of Arbitrum, an Ethereum layer-2 network. Most ARB lives on Arbitrum One, but a bridged copy exists as an ERC-20 on Ethereum. easyway accepts the Ethereum one, with the same checkout and API as ETH and the stablecoins. This page covers the contract that counts, the network trap, and what pricing a sale in a volatile token means.
Token, network and limits
| Token | Network | Contract | Confirmations | Min. withdrawal | Withdrawal fee |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Arbitrum (ARB) | Ethereum · ERC-20 | 0xB50721BCf8d664c30412Cfbc6cf7a15145234ad1 | 12 | 3.5 ARB | 12 ARB (flat) |
This is the address the Arbitrum Foundation's documentation lists as "$ARB Token (bridged)" on Ethereum. The ARB gateway contract on Ethereum (0xbbcE8aA77782F13D4202a230d978F361B011dB27, on the same list) maps it to ARB on Arbitrum One (0x912CE59144191C1204E64559FE8253a0e49E6548). An "ARB" at any other Ethereum address is not this token.
Ethereum, not Arbitrum One
Exchanges usually offer ARB on Arbitrum One first, because that is where most of it is held, and the addresses look the same (0x…). The checkout labels the coin "Ethereum · ERC-20": ARB sent on Arbitrum One or Nova to an invoice address does not reach the invoice. Tell customers to pick Ethereum (ERC-20) when they withdraw; the guide to paying from an exchange shows the network menu and the other common mistakes. The same applies to Mantle (MNT), another layer-2 token accepted only on Ethereum.
What paying looks like for the customer
The customer picks ARB, gets an amount and a fresh 0x… address with a QR code, and sends exactly that. A personal wallet needs a little ETH for gas; an exchange withdrawal is paid for by the exchange.
easyway tracks the address's ARB balance, so a direct transfer, an exchange batch payout or a multisig all count the same. The invoice is paid after 12 confirmations, usually a few minutes. Transfers under 0.03 ARB are skipped; several larger ones add up. Short or late payments are described in the underpaid and late payments guide.
Price risk and fees
ARB is not a stablecoin. On a USD invoice the ARB amount is fixed from the exchange rate when the customer selects the coin; the payment is credited and later withdrawn in ARB, so price changes after that are on your side. An invoice priced directly in ARB (currency = "ARB_ERC20") has no conversion at all.
The platform fee is a flat 0.5% of each confirmed payment: 10000 ARB received leaves 9950 ARB on your balance. The withdrawal fee and minimum are fixed ARB amounts set from the gas of an ERC-20 transfer when ARB was listed. Every coin's numbers are on the pricing page.
Integrating
There is no ARB-specific code: create an invoice with the API (or a payment link if you don't write code), send the customer to the hosted checkout and ship the order when the signed invoice.paid webhook arrives. Runnable examples are in the quickstart; the sandbox guide walks through a test payment.
Common questions
Is easyway part of Arbitrum? No. easyway is independent and simply accepts the token; it has no partnership with Offchain Labs or the Arbitrum Foundation.
Where is the ARB kept after a payment? On your easyway balance until you withdraw it. Live withdrawals only go to addresses you whitelisted with two-factor authentication; see security.
Which other Ethereum tokens can I accept? ETH (accepting Ethereum), Mantle (MNT), Sky (SKY), Chainlink (LINK) and the dollar stablecoins, on the same invoice addresses.
