Accept Worldcoin (WLD) payments
WLD is the token of World (formerly Worldcoin). It exists on three networks: Ethereum, Optimism and World Chain, where most day-to-day use now happens. easyway accepts the Ethereum one, with the same checkout and API as ETH and the stablecoins. This page covers which contract counts, how a customer gets WLD onto Ethereum, and what pricing a sale in a volatile token means.
Token, network and limits
| Token | Network | Contract | Confirmations | Min. withdrawal | Withdrawal fee |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Worldcoin (WLD) | Ethereum · ERC-20 | 0x163f8C2467924be0ae7B5347228CABF260318753 | 12 | 1.4 WLD | 4.8 WLD (flat) |
This is the Ethereum address in the World whitepaper's token section. WLD on World Chain (0x2cFc85d8E48F8EAB294be644d9E25C3030863003) names it as its Ethereum counterpart, and the World Chain bridge on Ethereum holds it. A "WLD" at any other Ethereum address is not this token.
Ethereum, not World Chain or Optimism
Customers who hold WLD in World App usually hold it on World Chain, and some exchanges offer WLD withdrawals on Optimism (0xdC6fF44d5d932Cbd77B52E5612Ba0529DC6226F1) as well as Ethereum. All three use 0x… addresses, so a wrong network is easy to pick. The checkout labels the coin "Ethereum · ERC-20": WLD sent on World Chain or Optimism to an invoice address does not reach the invoice. The simplest route is an exchange withdrawal with Ethereum (ERC-20) selected; the guide to paying from an exchange shows the network menu. The same rule applies to Arbitrum (ARB) and Mantle (MNT), also accepted only on Ethereum.
What paying looks like for the customer
The customer picks WLD, gets an amount and a fresh 0x… address with a QR code, and sends exactly that. A personal wallet needs a little ETH for gas; an exchange withdrawal is paid for by the exchange.
easyway tracks the address's WLD balance, so a direct transfer, an exchange batch payout or a multisig all count the same. The invoice is paid after 12 confirmations, usually a few minutes. Transfers under 0.01 WLD are skipped; several larger ones add up. Short or late payments are described in the underpaid and late payments guide.
Price risk and fees
WLD is not a stablecoin. On a USD invoice the WLD amount is fixed from the exchange rate when the customer selects the coin; the payment is credited and later withdrawn in WLD, so price changes after that are on your side. An invoice priced directly in WLD (currency = "WLD_ERC20") has no conversion at all.
The platform fee is a flat 0.5% of each confirmed payment: 10000 WLD received leaves 9950 WLD on your balance. The withdrawal fee and minimum are fixed WLD amounts set from the gas of an ERC-20 transfer when WLD was listed. Every coin's numbers are on the pricing page.
Integrating
There is no WLD-specific code: create an invoice with the API (or a payment link if you don't write code), send the customer to the hosted checkout and ship the order when the signed invoice.paid webhook arrives. Runnable examples are in the quickstart; the sandbox guide walks through a test payment.
Common questions
Is easyway part of World? No. easyway is independent and simply accepts the token; it does not use World ID and has no partnership with World or Tools for Humanity.
Where is the WLD kept after a payment? On your easyway balance until you withdraw it. Live withdrawals only go to addresses you whitelisted with two-factor authentication; see security.
Which other Ethereum tokens can I accept? ETH (accepting Ethereum), Arbitrum (ARB), Chainlink (LINK) and the dollar stablecoins, on the same invoice addresses.
