Accept The Sandbox (SAND) payments

SAND is the token of The Sandbox, a voxel game world whose players and creators use it for LAND, items and in-game purchases. It was issued on Ethereum and also circulates on Polygon. easyway accepts the Ethereum SAND with the same checkout and API as ETH and the stablecoins. Below: the contract that counts, why the Polygon copy does not, and what a sale in a volatile token means for your books.

The address is the Sand deployment for mainnet in The Sandbox's own smart-contract repository (thesandboxgame/sandbox-smart-contracts), and the one CoinGecko lists for Ethereum. It is a plain ERC-20 with 18 decimals, no proxy, and a total supply of 3 billion SAND. A "SAND" at any other Ethereum address is not this token.

Ethereum, not Polygon

A player who earned or bought SAND inside the game may well hold it on Polygon. That token (0xBbba073C31bF03b8ACf7c28EF0738DeCF3695683) is also called "SAND" and uses the same kind of 0x… address, so a wallet will send it to an invoice address without complaint — but it does not reach the invoice. The checkout labels the coin "Ethereum · ERC-20"; the safest route for a customer is an exchange withdrawal with Ethereum (ERC-20) selected, as the guide to paying from an exchange shows. The same rule applies to Decentraland (MANA) and Worldcoin (WLD).

What paying looks like for the customer

The customer picks SAND, gets an amount and a fresh 0x… address with a QR code, and sends exactly that. A personal wallet needs a little ETH for gas; an exchange withdrawal is paid for by the exchange.

easyway follows the address's SAND balance, so a direct transfer, an exchange batch payout or a smart-wallet send all count the same. The invoice is paid after 12 confirmations, usually a few minutes. Transfers under 0.1 SAND are skipped; several larger ones add up. Short or late payments follow the underpaid and late payments guide.

Price risk and fees

SAND is not a stablecoin. On a USD invoice the SAND amount is locked from the exchange rate when the customer selects the coin; the payment is credited and later withdrawn in SAND, so later price moves are yours. If your prices already live in SAND — say, a creator selling game assets, commissions or server time to Sandbox players — create the invoice directly in SAND (currency = "SAND_ERC20") and there is no conversion at all.

The platform fee is a flat 0.5% of each confirmed payment: 100000 SAND received leaves 99500 SAND on your balance. The withdrawal fee and minimum are fixed SAND amounts set from the gas of an ERC-20 transfer when SAND was listed; every coin's numbers are on the pricing page.

Integrating

Nothing is SAND-specific: create an invoice with the API (or a payment link if you don't write code), send the customer to the hosted checkout and deliver when the signed invoice.paid webhook arrives. To offer only game tokens on one invoice, pass allowed_assets with "SAND_ERC20" and "MANA_ERC20". Runnable examples are in the quickstart, and the test-mode guide walks through a payment without real funds.

Common questions

Is easyway part of The Sandbox? No. easyway is independent and simply accepts the token; it does not move NFTs or LAND and has no partnership with The Sandbox.

Where is the SAND kept after a payment? On your easyway balance until you withdraw it. Live withdrawals only go to addresses you whitelisted with two-factor authentication; see security.

Which other Ethereum tokens can I accept? ETH (accepting Ethereum), Decentraland (MANA), Chainlink (LINK) and the dollar stablecoins, on the same invoice addresses.
