Accepting Solana payments: SOL, USDT, USDC and SPL tokens
Solana is where a lot of everyday crypto spending already happens: transfers settle in seconds and cost a fraction of a cent. On easyway you can take native SOL and 10 Solana tokens through the same checkout and API as every other coin. This post covers what a merchant should know before switching them on — which tokens count, how fast a payment is final, the smallest amount that registers, the "token account" detail customers sometimes ask about, and what it all costs.
Which Solana tokens count
A Solana token is identified by its mint address, not by its name. Anyone can create a token called "USDT", so the gateway credits only the mints below. All of them run on Solana's classic Token program; tokens on the newer Token-2022 program (PayPal USD on Solana, for example) are not accepted today.
| Token | Mint | Smallest payment counted | Withdrawal fee / min. |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solana (SOL) | native | 0.001 SOL | 0.0001 / 0.005 SOL |
| Tether (USDT) | Es9v…wNYB | 0.01 USDT | 0.3 / 0.5 USDT |
| USD Coin (USDC) | EPjF…Dt1v | 0.01 USDC | 0.3 / 0.5 USDC |
| Bonk (BONK) | DezX…B263 | 3000 BONK | 100000 / 150000 BONK |
| dogwifhat (WIF) | EKpQ…zcjm | 0.05 WIF | 2 / 3 WIF |
| Render (RENDER) | rndr…HBof | 0.005 RENDER | 0.25 / 0.3 RENDER |
| Jupiter (JUP) | JUPy…DvCN | 0.05 JUP | 1.5 / 2 JUP |
| Pyth Network (PYTH) | HZ1J…BCt3 | 0.2 PYTH | 6 / 8 PYTH |
| Jito (JTO) | jtoj…9mCL | 0.03 JTO | 1 / 1.4 JTO |
| Raydium (RAY) | 4k3D…kX6R | 0.008 RAY | 0.25 / 0.35 RAY |
| Wormhole (W) | 85VB…QAmQ | 1 W | 38 / 53 W |
The full mint addresses are on each coin's page and in the API docs. A single transfer under the "smallest payment" amount is ignored — those are usually spam airdrops — while several larger transfers to the same invoice add up.
How fast a Solana payment is final
Every Solana asset needs 1 confirmation on easyway, but that one confirmation is read at Solana's strictest level, finalized: the block can no longer be rolled back. In practice that is a matter of seconds, so a Solana payment is usually the quickest way for a customer to see the checkout turn to paid. Before crediting, the watcher reads the amount from the validator's own before-and-after balance tables of the transaction and asks a second RPC provider for the same result, so a direct send, an exchange withdrawal or a swap-and-send from a wallet app are all read the same way.
Token accounts and rent, in one paragraph
On Solana a wallet holds each token in a separate "associated token account". The checkout shows the customer a normal Solana address; their wallet works out the token account and, the first time, creates it — which costs the sender a small, refundable rent deposit in SOL on top of the network fee. That is normal Solana behaviour, not a charge from easyway. On the merchant side nothing is needed: deposit addresses never have to hold SOL, because the hot wallet pays the fees when funds are collected, and the emptied token account is closed so its rent comes back.
The network menu still matters
USDT and USDC exist on many chains, and a customer withdrawing from an exchange must pick Solana in the network menu, not Ethereum or BNB Smart Chain. The checkout labels each option "Solana · SPL" for this reason, and the guide to paying from an exchange walks a customer through it. Solana addresses look different from 0x… addresses, which makes a wrong-network send less likely than between EVM chains.
What it costs
The customer pays the Solana network fee of their transfer. You pay a flat 0.5% of each confirmed payment: 200 USDT received on Solana leaves 199 USDT on your balance. Each token stays in that token — no conversion — and is withdrawn to an address you whitelisted, for the flat withdrawal fee in the table. SOL, BONK, JUP and the other non-stable tokens move with the market after the payment; if you would rather hold dollars, offer USDT or USDC on Solana. All coins and networks are on the pricing page.
A Solana-only checkout in one call
Most stores create a USD invoice and let the customer choose from every enabled coin. To show only SOL and the two Solana stablecoins, list them in allowed_assets:
curl -X POST https://api.easyway.cash/v1/invoices \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $EASYWAY_API_KEY" \
-H "Idempotency-Key: order-8120" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"amount":"40","currency":"USD","order_id":"8120","allowed_assets":["SOL","USDT_SOL","USDC_SOL"],"lifetime":30}'Redirect the customer to the payment_url in the response and deliver when the signed invoice.paid webhook arrives. The quickstart has the same call in Node.js, PHP and Python, the sandbox guide runs a payment without real funds, and a payment link does the same without code. After a payment the tokens sit on your easyway balance until you withdraw them; live withdrawals only go to whitelisted addresses confirmed with two-factor authentication (see security).
