Accept Onyxcoin (XCN) payments

Onyxcoin (XCN) is the coin of the Onyx ecosystem: the gas coin of its own chain, Onyx Mainnet, and an ERC-20 token on Ethereum. easyway accepts XCN as an ERC-20 on Ethereum with the same checkout and API as ETH and the stablecoins. Below: the one contract that counts, the networks that don't, and what small unit prices mean for invoice amounts.

This is the address Onyx publishes as "Ethereum XCN" in its own contract reference, and the Ethereum address CoinGecko lists for Onyxcoin. It is a plain ERC-20 with 18 decimals and no proxy, and no fee is taken on a transfer, so the amount the customer sends is the amount that arrives. One detail surprises people: the contract's name() still returns Chain, so an explorer may show "Chain (XCN)". It is the same token.

Onyx Mainnet is EVM-compatible, so its addresses look exactly like Ethereum ones, and a wallet will happily send native XCN there to the address on an invoice. It still lands on a different chain and the invoice stays open. If an exchange offers XCN on several networks, the customer must pick Ethereum (ERC-20); the guide to paying from an exchange walks through choosing the network.

Amounts and fees

XCN trades at a fraction of a cent, so invoice amounts are large numbers: a $10 order is a few thousand XCN. On a USD invoice the XCN amount is locked from the exchange rate when the customer selects the coin, and the checkout shows the exact amount to send. Transfers under 5 XCN are skipped as dust; several larger ones add up, and the invoice is paid after 12 confirmations, usually a few minutes. Short or late payments follow the underpaid and late payments guide.

XCN is not a stablecoin: the payment is credited and later withdrawn in XCN, so later price moves are yours. The platform fee is a flat 0.5% of each confirmed payment: 100,000 XCN received leaves 99500 XCN on your balance. A withdrawal costs a fixed 520 XCN, which covers the Ethereum gas of one token transfer. Every coin's numbers are on the pricing page.

Integrating

Nothing is XCN-specific: create an invoice with the API (or a payment link if you don't write code), send the customer to the hosted checkout and deliver when the signed invoice.paid webhook arrives. To price an invoice in XCN itself, pass currency = "XCN_ERC20"; to show only XCN at checkout, pass allowed_assets with "XCN_ERC20". Runnable examples are in the quickstart.

Common questions

Is easyway connected to Onyx? No. easyway is independent and only receives the XCN token as a payment for your own goods or services.

Where is the XCN kept after a payment? On your easyway balance until you withdraw it. Live withdrawals only go to addresses you whitelisted with two-factor authentication; see security. Other low-priced Ethereum tokens on the same addresses: JasmyCoin (JASMY) and Shiba Inu and Pepe.
