Accept ApeCoin (APE) payments

ApeCoin (APE) started as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum and is now also the gas coin of its own network, ApeChain. easyway accepts APE as an ERC-20 on Ethereum with the same checkout and API as ETH and the stablecoins. Below: the one contract that counts, the networks that don't, and what the numbers look like.

This is the original ApeCoin contract on Ethereum, the address CoinGecko and Trust Wallet's token list give for ApeCoin. It is a plain ERC-20 with 18 decimals, a fixed supply of one billion APE and no proxy, and no fee is taken on a transfer, so the amount the customer sends is the amount that arrives.

ApeChain is the trap. It is EVM-compatible, so its addresses look exactly like Ethereum ones, and a wallet set to ApeChain will send native APE to the address on an invoice without complaint. The coins still land on a different chain and the invoice stays open. Exchanges often list APE on several networks; the customer must pick Ethereum (ERC-20). The guide to paying from an exchange walks through choosing the network.

Amounts and fees

On a USD invoice the APE amount is locked from the exchange rate when the customer selects the coin, and the checkout shows the exact amount to send. Transfers under 0.1 APE are skipped as dust; several larger ones add up, and the invoice is paid after 12 confirmations, usually a few minutes. Short or late payments follow the underpaid and late payments guide.

APE is not a stablecoin: the payment is credited and later withdrawn in APE, so later price moves are yours. The platform fee is a flat 0.5% of each confirmed payment: 1,000 APE received leaves 995 APE on your balance. A withdrawal costs a fixed 17 APE, which covers the Ethereum gas of one token transfer. Every coin's numbers are on the pricing page.

Integrating

Nothing is APE-specific: create an invoice with the API (or a payment link if you don't write code), send the customer to the hosted checkout and deliver when the signed invoice.paid webhook arrives. To price an invoice in APE itself, pass currency = "APE_ERC20"; to show only APE at checkout, pass allowed_assets with "APE_ERC20". Runnable examples are in the quickstart.

Common questions

Is easyway connected to ApeCoin or ApeChain? No. easyway is independent and only receives the APE token as a payment for your own goods or services.

Where is the APE kept after a payment? On your easyway balance until you withdraw it. Live withdrawals only go to addresses you whitelisted with two-factor authentication; see security. Other Ethereum tokens on the same addresses: The Sandbox (SAND), Decentraland (MANA) and Gala (GALA).
